Celje, October 17, 2018 - The Mayor of Celje, Bojan Šrot, has been visited by representatives of the International Fire Safety Committee (CTIF) with the representatives of the Fire Brigade of Slovenia and the Fire Brigade of Celje.

Representatives of CTIF from Germany, Austria and Italy have seen the venues of the Firefighting Olympics 2021 and accommodation capacities. The mayor expressed his support for the organization of the firefighting Olympics in Celje and presented the city to guests.

Chairman of the Competition Commission at CTIF Georg Franke said that they are convinced that Celje is the right choice and that they have also decided because it is considered a very sporty and dynamic city, and has experience in organising large competitions. Satisfaction with the support of the mayor was also expressed by the President of the Firefighter Association of Slovenia Janko Cerkvenik.
